Anamaria Marina is an Romanian actor. Her debut on screen was through her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic where she received the British Academy Television Award for Best actress. Speaks French, German, English as well as Romanian well. Her mother played the violin and her father is a professor of theater at one of Romania's most prestigious acting schools. The actress won the Best Female Actor Award for the Year 2000 at The Mangalia Young Actor Gala. She was crowned European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in the year 2008. She was a teacher of the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu, Iasi for four years. bAnamaria Marina is a Romanian actress born from Iasi Romania on 1 April 1978. She won the British Academy Television Award Best Actress award for her performance in this film. The debut film of the actress, Sex Traffic was awarded the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. She also received several awards for her character in the film 4 months 3 Weeks 2 Days, a Romanian film that was highly praised by the London Film Critics as the most acclaimed films of 2007. She was a Romanian actor in Cristian Mungiu's 4 luni3 saptamani si 2 zile (four months 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 three weeks and two days) and was presented with The Palme d'Or and other prizes at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. Also, she was as a character in the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she was the character Yasim anwar in the BBC miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca was a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. Later, she had a major role in the 2014 film Fury which featured her as a German woman who was named Irma aunt to Emma.
